Last week, Split was buzzing with international student energy, bringing together more than 1,000 Erasmus students from across Europe and beyond for the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM), the largest student conference in Europe. Over the course of four days, from Thursday to Sunday, the city was transformed into a dynamic hub of youth, knowledge, and exchange of experiences.
One of the central events of the conference was the EGM EXPO, held at the University of Split. The campus became a vibrant international meeting point with more than 80 booths, where numerous institutions, organizations, and companies working with young people showcased their activities, offering opportunities for the presentation of study and career opportunities.
As part of the EXPO, the initiative Study in Croatia and study opportunities in Croatia were also presented at the booth of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, attracting significant interest from students considering Croatia as their study destination. The students also had the opportunity to take a quiz on student life in Croatia, where participants demonstrated impressive knowledge of the country and its student life!
A number of Croatian higher education institutions also presented their study programmes, including the Catholic University of Croatia, the University of Dubrovnik, the University of Osijek, the University of Split, the University of Zadar, the University of Zagreb, and the Marko Marulić University of Applied Sciences in Knin, further highlighting the diversity and quality of Croatia’s higher education system.
The Erasmus Generation Meeting in Split once again confirmed the importance of international cooperation, mobility, and youth connection, leaving a strong impression on all participants and further strengthening the position of Croatia as an attractive student destination.
