Study in Croatia at the Largest APAIE Conference and Exhibition to Date

The Croatian delegation gathered around the Study in Croatia initiative participated from 23 to 27 February 2026 at the international exhibition and conference organised by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education − 2026 APAIE Conference & Exhibition. This year, this largest and most famous higher education fair in the Asia-Pacific region, held in Hong Kong, attracted a record number of visitors and brought together higher education professionals from all over the world.
This important presentation of Croatian higher education at the 2026 APAIE Conference and Exhibition in Asia was organized by the Study in Croatia initiative. The aim of the initiative, coordinated by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth (MZOM) and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU), is to promote Croatian higher education abroad in order to encourage cooperation and partnerships between Croatian and foreign higher education institutions, as well as to encourage foreign students to enrol in full-time studies at Croatian higher education institutions.
In the Study in Croatia exhibition area, 12 Croatian higher education institutions presented their cooperation opportunities and study programmes in English: PAR University of Applied Sciences, University of Dubrovnik, University of Osijek, University of Split, University of Zagreb, University of Zagreb Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, University of Zagreb Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine, Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM).
These higher education institutions had the opportunity to present themselves to participants from as many as 72 countries and regions around the world. According to official data from the organisers, the 2026 APAIE Conference and Exhibition was attended by a record number of visitors, namely 3,592 participants and more than 600 organisations exhibiting at the fair. Participants had the opportunity to attend 120 presentations as part of the rich conference program dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education which explored the Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good theme.
The Croatian delegation also included MZOM and AMPEU representatives. The preparation of the delegation arrival was additionally supported by Dario Mihelin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia in the People's Republic of China, Arna de Mendonca Ferreira, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the People's Republic of China, and Lady Ivy Wu, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, who also visited the event.
