Attracting and Supporting International PhD Students, Lecturers and Researchers

Attracting and Supporting International PhD Students, Lecturers and Researchers
19 May 2024

A new report published within the framework of the UniWelis project presents the findings of a comparative study on attracting and supporting international academics (PhD students, lecturers, and researchers) in ten host countries located in Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia).

The study  provided some novel insights into this understudied topic in the target region and was conducted under the EU-funded UniWeliS project which analysed the development of welcome services and professional capacities to support mid-term and long-term mobility of international PhD students and academics in the Central-Eastern and South-Eastern European (CESE) region.

The report was completed in cooperation with: Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA, n.o.), Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Comenius University (CU) Bratislava and the University of Niš.

The full report is available on the UniWelis project page.
